Chapstick or bust

I've got a question: why do the Carmex people still make offer their prouct in the little jar? Maybe this was how lip balm was distributed back in the pre-stick era, but since the introduction of the stick it seems like a really poor idea. I mean, come on, you apply some Carmex to your lips and then you immediately have to wipe the residue off of your finger. Honestly, who prefers that to the stick? Apparently a non-trivial portion of their customer base does, or else they wouldn't still offer the jar.
And yes, I have a jar of Carmex. That is why I bothered to type all of this out. I like the product, I'm just stuck with the little jar until I run out. For those of you wondering, I did not buy it myself—I think my mom picked it up at the store for me.
That is all.

I hear that stuff is addictive. Know any PhD's that can investigate this??? Hope all is well.
